ELECTRONIC AIR CLEANERS & MEDIA STYLE FILTERS
There are several choices available to upgrade the air filtration throughout your system:
electronic, media and electrostatic.
Electronic Air Cleaners
The proper name is actually "electrostatic precipitation" and the process is simple. Large
particles are captured by a pre-filter screen. Smaller particles flow through a cell where they
are electronically charged and collected by opposite charged plates. The electronic air
cleaner is the most effective filter in capturing airborne debris including smoke. This type
filter works well with any type of heating/cooling system.

Media Style Filter
By far, the most popular filter we offer. It provides excellent filtration and minimum air
flow resistance. The media style filter can be installed with almost any type heating/cooling
vents with minimal system alteration. The most cost effective, lowest maintenance system
available today! The media filter should be replaced on an annual basis to maintain a high
level of indoor air quality.

About Air Filtration
Air Purification and Indoor Air Quality
Newer homes are more tightly constructed than ever. Although this means less airborne
dust can infiltrate the home from outside, it also means whatever dust, grease, pollen, and
mold spores exist within a home are often recirculated over and over again.
These contaminants can cause unnecessary discomfort, health hazards, and deterioration to
property. Pollen, and mold spores can make life miserable for people who have respiratory
problems, and can harbor harmful bacteria and viruses.
A typical furnace filter only removes 10-15% of these contaminants. An air cleaner can
remove up to 75% of airborne particles. Several types of air cleaners are available today,
each with their advantages and disadvantages.
